To my niece, Four months have passed since your birth and it pains me that I haven’t had the chance to meet you or see your beautiful face. It’s been, Heartbreaking.
Your arrival was a surprise to many, thanks to the drama surrounding your parents and our family. We didn’t even know you were coming until your mom was nearly 7 months along, and the news came from an unexpected source – one of your great-aunts. To make matters more interesting, your grandfather had known about you for some time, but chose not to share the information with me or your grandmother (my mom).
It’s heartbreaking to see our family divided when we should be united in love and celebration of your new life. But I want to assure you, little one, that you are loved unconditionally by every member of our family, from both sides. You deserve all the love in the world!
Life can be overwhelming, but knowing you’re loved and valued gives me the strength to keep going. I love you more than words can express, little one, and I’m eager for the day we can finally meet and share our love in person. You’re the hope and light of our family, and we’re committed to supporting you as you grow into a kind, intelligent, and resilient young girl.
In some ways you’re our family’s hope!
