I’ve always loved this time of year! The decorations, the smell of Christmas Trees, that feeling of calmness and purity when snow falls and it hasn’t been touched by human. I also love the holiday traditions when it comes to food!
My family makes Buckeyes!
My mom’s side of the family is from Ohio, and as you know OSU are the Buckeyes. My family has been making Buckeyes for generations! It’s a MUST in our family during this time of year.
There are many more family recipes but I don’t have time to go through them all.. but Buckeyes are ALWAYS on the top of our holiday must make treats!
This year I came across some new holiday recipes all thanks to my Birthday Month Sister Shawn Johnson East!
Shawn if you don’t know is an Olympic Gymnast and her husband Andrew East is an NFL Player.
Shawn and her mom shared with us some family recipes and I can’t wait to try them out! I’m Gluten Free so there are just a few I can do.. today I’m cooking the most easiest thing on the list.
Mama’s Crockpot Ham
1 picnic ham
1 can 7-Up
Put in crockpot for 4-6 hours on low/medium
(Seriously that’s all you have to do!)
