“Human touch. Our first form of communication. Safety, security, comfort, all in the gentle caress of a finger. Or the brush of lips on a soft cheek. It connects us when we’re happy, bolsters us in times of fear, excites us in times of passion and love. We need that touch from the one we love, almost as much as we need air to breathe. But I never understood the importance of touch until I couldn’t have it.”
The physical sensitivity I have due to CRPS is so extreme I’m constantly pulling away or cringing when people get too close to me or touch my skin. No one ever means to hurt me they are always trying to love on me. .
It’s constantly coming out of my mouth to be soft with me. I definitely need the love but it’s so hard to receive it when your body is on fire.
