I can FINALLY tell the world what I’ve been working on with my Representative Chris Conley since November of last year!
After the tragic lose of our friend and family member Joey Gingerella, I reached out to our high school Fitch High to see if they could have a plaque or something that could be put on the building in honor of Joey, but they could not. So I thought how about having a Memorial Road sign in his honor instead.
That’s when I reached out to Chris. I told her that I wanted to surprise the family with this sign and she made sure to keep it quiet until the Bill passed this June! To say that Tammy Johnson-delaCruz and Joseph de la Cruz were surprised is an understatement!
I didn’t do this for the recognition, I did it to honor Joey. Joey was and still is Groton’s Son! Now he will forever be recognized for his actions and bravery! I’m honored to have started this process and I’m incredibly thankful for everyone who helped make this possible!
